Taste of DSM
We are grateful to the local restaurants and organizations who have donated their time and talent to make the Taste of DSM experience at this year's Drake Golf Classic possible. This tasting-style dinner features sample portions from each of our participating vendors, giving you the opportunity to experience a variety of Des Moines' best flavors all in one place. Their participation is a celebration of the incredible culinary community that makes Des Moines one of the Midwest's most exciting food destinations. Fresko

Gladdies is a sister-owned cake and dessert shop in Ankeny, built on the belief that you should add sweetness to your life and eat cake. Specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes, and handcrafted treats baked with love, Gladdies brings a personal touch to every order. Whether it's a celebration or just because, Gladdies makes every bite worth savoring.
Karam's Grill
Karam's Mediterranean Grill has been proudly serving the Des Moines metro with authentic Mediterranean cuisine since 2010, when founder Hamid turned a passion for food into a thriving food truck operation. Known for their Moroccan-style Chicken Shawarma and gyros, Karam's menu spans everything from lamb gyros and falafel platters to Greek quesadillas and homemade baklava — all made to order and packed with bold, fresh flavor.
Latin King
For over 75 years, The Latin King has defined Italian food in Des Moines and beyond. Founded in 1947 by Rose and Jim Pigneri, who immigrated from Terravecchia, Italy, the restaurant was built on a desire to bring authentic Italian fare to the heart of the Midwest. An east side institution beloved by generations of Des Moines families, The Latin King is the kind of place where every meal feels like a celebration.
Tasty Tacos
Tasty Tacos was founded in 1961 by Richard and Antonia Mosqueda with little more than a $500 loan and a family recipe for a fluffy flour-shell taco. Guided by the motto "Nada Es Imposible" — Nothing Is Impossible — what began as a small family operation has grown into six flourishing restaurants across the Des Moines area. Their signature flour taco, made fresh daily, remains one of the most iconic bites in the city.
The Outside Scoop
The Outside Scoop has been serving homemade, small-batch ice cream since 2010, using the finest and freshest ingredients to craft every scoop from scratch. With a wide variety of unique flavors and an ice cream truck available for events, The Outside Scoop brings handcrafted frozen treats to communities across the Des Moines area. From classic favorites to creative seasonal flavors, every scoop is made with care and community in mind.
Urban Cellar
Urban Cellar is a locally owned and operated family restaurant and market in West Des Moines, featuring warm, modern décor and a menu of New American cuisine that spans distinctive starters, hearty salads, handcrafted pastas, gorgeous steaks, and superior pizzas. Alongside the restaurant, Urban Cellar's wine market offers a charcuterie bar, pastry counter, and a curated bottle selection with sommelier guidance — making it the perfect spot to start the evening or end it on a high note.
Winchester Public House
Tucked into Historic Valley Junction in West Des Moines, Winchester Public House & Eatery is a prohibition-style pub with a signature cocktail program built around modern twists on the classics.
